Julian Assange Who Turns 46 Today; ‘Detained Without Charge Since 2010’

The Wikileaks Task Force announced that Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, turns 46 today, and they tweeted a 2016 video clip from AFP news agency showing a UN panel ruling that Assange’s detention should end.

“Julian Assange turns 46 today, detained without charge since 2010, in violation of two UN rulings for his release,” they tweeted.

Last year’s public statement made by the expert UN panel called on the Swedish and British authorities to “end Mr. Assange’s deprivation of liberty, respect his physical integrity and freedom of movement, and afford him the right to compensation.”

Wikileaks Task Force is the official support account for Wikileaks.
