Steve Bannon May Start Network to Rival Fox News

National political reporter for Axios, Jonathan Swan, said on Saturday that Steve Bannon “is thinking bigger than Breitbart,” and that Bannon “told friends he sees a massive opening to the right of Fox News, raising the possibility that he’s going to start a network.”

Swan said Bannon believes Fox is heading in a globalist direction as the Murdoch sons assume more power, and pointed out that Bannon now has the “means, motive and opportunity” along with financial backer Bob Mercer.

According to Chris Menahan from Information Liberation, a new network is needed to reflect the new media landscape. “Fox News could have fit the bill and crowded out such a network if they wanted to, but now they’re further to the left than MSNBC,” he said.
